Howell Abduction-Load Research Test Device precisely demonstrates & calibrates ACL-friendly Howell SkiBindings.



6-foot by 6-foot by 2-inch stainless-steel test-frame.  All frame components are to be assembled by purchaser using the supplied stainless-steel brackets and stainless steel bolts that are supplied.  All assembly holes are pre-drilled.

High-strength applied-force sailing-line, plus 3-to-1 ratio yacht-racing block / pulley.

Applied-abduction-force transducer range:  1 to 350-pounds, with over-load limiter.

Electronic signal-conditioning (with automatic temperature balancing) and digital peak-load display;

Applied-abduction-force ski-clamp hardware;

Released-ski preventer-hardware & rigging (requires minimum 18-foot ceiling);

Stainless-steel boot-holding fixture and rigging (rigidly fixes any ski-boot — alpine, AT, telemark);

6 certified 25-pound calibration weights (each shipped separately);

Biomechanical ACL-rupture threshold data.

Does not include ski, boot, or binding.
